Viewing Material Processes (Heat Treat, Anodize, etc...) in CATIA

(OP)
Hi,

I am trying to view the processes that a part goes thru within the CATIA model (.CATPart), but with no luck. Does anyone know where to find this? Thank you very much!!

RE: Viewing Material Processes (Heat Treat, Anodize, etc...) in CATIA

Hello MrFrench24,

Material properties like Heat Treatment and Surface Treatment, Coating System etc, are not included in the standard CATIA Part Properties, because the list is endless.

Instead, the user can add custom properties to a Parts/Product as follows:
  • Select [Properties]>[Product tab]>[Define other properties]
  • Add name and value of custom properties in the |Define other properties| dialog box.
If user needs to have some custom properties as standard properties, then the relevant CATPart/CATProduct template file need to edited, as above, and use this CATPart/CATProduct when create a new one.

I hope it helps.
