trying to figure out new helix function in NX 8.5 to make conical spring

trying to figure out new helix function in NX 8.5 to make conical spring

I am trying to follow John's method here: http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=324342 to make this conical spring with the updated helix tool in 8.5. But I am getting wrapped around the axle on trying to figure out the ends, which should have a pitch such that the first and last turn of the helix basically cause the tube faces to touch each other. I need the spring to have a specific free length (the length of the spine) and be 7 turns total. 5 turns of constant pitch in between the two end wraps. What settings have I got fouled up here? NX 8.5 part file is attached.

Yes that looks correct, but it is too long. The overall height needs to match the line (spine). I'll have to mess with it some more.
