Galvanic Corrosion in valves and pipelines

(OP)
Hi,

Has anyone ever come across a solution to Galvanic corrosion before? It occurs a lot on oil platforms because of contact with seawater. I read this article about a solution to galvanic corrosion in valves and pipelines could be to replace graphite with a material called HNBR?? Apparently this is one of the only solutions to Galvanic Corrosion in Valves and pipelines in the market place today.

Any thoughts welcome please.
