Hi!

I'm modelling a spur gear in solid edge st5. I wasn't able to obtain the exact gear tooth profile. There is an option in CATIA wherein you can take open an image and make measurements.

So if you were modelling a gear, then you could take a photograph of the gear placed next to a scale. Calibrate your measurement in the image using the photograph of the scale. Then you can measure the tooth profile parameters and then sketch. I wasn't able to do the same thing in ST5 and was wondering if anybody can help me do so!
