Self-Penetration of Hyperelastic Material during Deformation in Abaqus

Self-Penetration of Hyperelastic Material during Deformation in Abaqus

Self-Penetration of Hyperelastic Material during Deformation in Abaqus

(OP)
I am attempting to model an ellipsoid shell with hyperelastic material properties--one side of the ellipsoid is tied to a rigid sphere that is held stationary while the other side is tied to a rigid sphere that is pulled with a specific concentrated force. However, during deformation, the top and bottom of the ellipsoid surface penetrate one another. How can that self-penetration be eliminated?

Thank you!

Thank you, but the deformation scale factor is, in fact, set to 1 and the issue still persists.

Thank you again! Could you please give a little more guidance as to the interaction I should further investigate / assign? I have been trying to test / use different interactions applied to the inner walls, but have yet to see positive results.
