How can I put a hole in a solid object, like a window in a wall? I'm working in 3-D with ACAD 2000.

RE: Hole in a Solid

Hi,

You need todo the following steps:

set the UCS on the side you want to treat.

draw a (polyline)rectangle.

use the EXTRUDE command or button and select the object
enter a heigth and no taperangle.

use the SUBSTRACT command or button and select the main object and then the object you want to substract from it.

use hide to see the effect

Enjoy
