Converting interior entities

Converting interior entities

(OP)
Does anyone know how to convert all interior entites when selecting a face in a sketch? normally when you select a face and convert the entities, the outside perimeter is the only line segments that convert. I watched a demo awhile back and noticed the presenter did this but did not explain how.

convert all entities of a face in one way?
There is a way grab inner loops... If you select the face and then an edge that is on an inner loop (hole or cutout in the plate) then instead of the outer edges being converted the inner loop will be.
This will not work however on your example with holes as you will need to select all holes so it won't save you any time.

One way to get around this is to turn on the edge filter ("e" on your keyboard) then box select around the plate... all edges will be selected. now convert entities.

You need to be carefull that there are no conterbored holes or similar as you will also grab these edges and not just those on the top face.

thanks,
justin
