Friction Pendulum sliding isolator in ETABS.

Friction Pendulum sliding isolator in ETABS.

(OP)
Hi everyone.
I am trying to simulate a friction/pendulum sliding isolator in ETABS.
I use the NLling and the "isolator2" property. I could not find any documentation nowhere on how to model the FPS in ETABS.
What I did was to create a frame element between the structure and the support and assign at it Link element properties.
But I still cannot get the right results (the fundamental periods are not correct).

Any help ?
Thanks, Antony

RE: Friction Pendulum sliding isolator in ETABS.

You can have a look at the Help->Analysis Verification document, where the FPS system is explained in detail..

Analysis and Design of arbitrary cross sections
Reinforcement design to all major codes
Moment Curvature analysis
