Not allowing me to save

Not allowing me to save

Not allowing me to save

(OP)
Well NX is acting up again, big surprise there...

Now it wont let me save...

it states " A newer version of this part is available since it was loaded in the session"

Is there anyway to get around this...I saw one thread discussing it but unfortunatly it just dropped off with no soln nor any body else posting anything so can somebody help me?

Thanks,

Myke

RE: Not allowing me to save

That message means that someone else has saved the part while you had it open. You'll probably have to do a save-as and then compare what changes were made by your coworker(s) while you had it open.

Cant save as... cant save anything at all nothing... in fact I cant even export an image of it...

RE: Not allowing me to save

Trying saving it with a differnt name.

I got it to work today, I also stressing I could not save anything under a different name. Anything that had to do with saving was not going to work so I replaced the component with a totally irrelevant component and then replaced that component with what I originally had, and well I can save and life goes on normally.

Still have no idea how that happened since my files as they are only accessible to me but it just did...

Hope this helps anyone in the future

RE: Not allowing me to save

@ mykeo, make sure that you don't have a file scanner (like an anti virus or backup system) running on NX part files or the folder where you're saving your parts.
Also Windows Search can have an affect on this as well depending on the OS you're using.
Most times I see this error from my customers, it's due to anti virus. My advice is to put an exception in for .prt files.
