ASME Y14.5.1M : Stabilization process for dummies.
ASME Y14.5.1M : Stabilization process for dummies.
(OP)
Hi,
I am studying to pass my ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional technical level certification. I am reading in asme y14.5-2009 (yeah I know it's not the version of the test, I just find the explanations better in than the 1994 version), and as I am reading the paragraph 4.11.2, they talk about part stabilization. In short it says if the part rocks, stabilize it per asme y14.5.1m. It looks like a paragraph written by ASME marketing department in order to sell more standards
Can I have a very quick summary of the procedure? I mean a few sentences, so I can have a general understanding of the steps involved in this case.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Sorry that I'm not answering your question :) But just thought I'd throw that in.
