Dear all,

Can we design overhead water tank as a tuned liquid damper? if it's possible then please refer any guideline.

Yes, however, this is a specialty item. Sloshing dampers are used in tall buildings, usually the wind tunnel consultant provides input on the matter as it is subject to the building's dynamic behavior under wind loads.

Thanks slickdeals. Can u suggest any reference of calculating damping ratio of tuned liquid damper, which can be used in any structural analysis.
