Divide toolpaths by holder

Divide toolpaths by holder

Divide toolpaths by holder

(OP)
I have a cavity mill operation, what I generated with the 'check tool and holder' OFF.
I thought, that the 'divide by holder' result correct paths, but there are some problems. The dividing only available at transfer, so there are some situations, what can be seen in the attached image. Some Z-levels go to the second part, but the next levels remain in the first. It causes that the cut depth increases, what is very disastrous for the tool..
There are other problems too, the transfer moves in the newly created paths can collide the part.
What clearance parameters use the 'divide by holder' function?

RE: Divide toolpaths by holder

What release are you using?
Are you using released or preview functionality?

In NX 9 we made a lot of enhancements to this that I think you will like.
If you are not in beta, contact GTAC and see if they will try this for you in NX 9.
