Integrated Nastran and Seperate Nastran solver

Integrated Nastran and Seperate Nastran solver

(OP)
I have worked in Nastran NX that is integrated with UG NX software. And also worked with integrated solver-Model Solution which is in I-deas SDRC.

My doubt is, whether if i have a .dat file and need to feed in NAstran solver seperately, then do i need to feed so many codes. Or it is as simple as it is integrated with some pre-processing softwares.

RE: Integrated Nastran and Seperate Nastran solver

Hello!,
I don't understand your question, please re-explain, thanks!.
NX Advanced Simulation includes NX NASTRAN BASIC, then when solving a model is the preprocessor (NX) who writes the NX NASTRANS input file (*.dat), launch the nastran solver for "number crunching", and after execution of solver than reads the results (*.op2 file) in the NX postprocessor ready for graphical verification of results, so simply.

If you need to write your FE model using another solver formats, say Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, etc,.. then you need to have the proper ENVIRONMENT license to do that. Because Advanced Simulation is a solver-transparent pre- and post-processor for finite element analysis, the options, commands, and techniques available to you vary depending on your selected solver, analysis, and solution type.

Best regards,
Blas.
