how it can be traced that SS electrode is used instead of 9% Ni
how it can be traced that SS electrode is used instead of 9% Ni
(OP)
Dear members,
I wonder if anyone could help me out with the following matter:
how it can be traced that SS electrode is used rather than 9% Ni in order to weld the 9% Ni plates of LNG Tanks (without excavation or any types of destructing welded areas) mostly when it has been used at the first pass or second.
your help is quite appreciated

Thank you dear fegenbush for your answer.
The area in question is accessible, but, the instrument you mentioned identifies the material and filler metal percentage of surface passes. we need to identify the material composition of first passes of a Double-V weld joint.
Great thanks
