Ansys Workbench to Ansys APDL Connection

Hi
I want to create all the welds and midsurfaces on design modeler and then create the mesh, boundary conditions and solution on Ansys APDL
i can import the geometry but the problem is the welds are not connected on ansys APDL (classic)
i have try the component system call Mechanical APDL on workbench but it doesnt help and also export .igs and parasolid and other kind of format file but it doesnt work
Can someone help me on this part

You can try to divide the surfaces by the end of the weld, then mesh them, they will be connected.
Another way is that meshing them in workbench, then write the apdl, read it from classic. Then they will be connected.
The classical and workbench use different method in the mesh process.

The meshing methods are not totally different between the modes, just given a different logic set for application. Almost anything you want to do in APDL can be done in workbench, so unless you're working with experimental features that are hidden from even documentation, you can just add "Commands" in to your Mechanical area. Even meshing can be adjusted, though this is a bit more complicated. However, once it is set up, any changes or measurements you wish to take in the Workbench GUI should be far easier.
What kind of simulation are you doing? Structural, thermal, a combination of the two? Or are you trying to feed this into another package?
