Drawing sheet format in file essentially disappears after saving and reopening file

Drawing sheet format in file essentially disappears after saving and reopening file

(OP)
After saving a drawing file, I closed Creo and opened it back up some time later. When I go to open up the drawing file again, the sheet format pretty much changes itself to most of the parameters I adjusted when I originally started the file and everything else disappeared. This has happened to every drawing file I have made.

When I go to start a new drawing the same format I used prior still works just fine.

Is this like a format directory issue or is this something else?

RE: Drawing sheet format in file essentially disappears after saving and reopening file

Certainly sounds like Creo is not finding your format directory. The config option is the same as before:

pro_format_dir full_path_name

The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn't included in this version of Windows.

That's what I was thinking but Creo is not giving me an option to search for the sheet format when the drawing file is opened. I know the path to the templates but cannot find a path for the templates that Creo generally uses.

RE: Drawing sheet format in file essentially disappears after saving and reopening file

It won't ask you to search for the file, it has to be set in the config option and loaded before the drawing is opened. It's no different in Creo than it was in WF.

template_drawing points to the template file.
pro_format_dir gets set to the full path of your drawing formats
