Is it possible to model a single degree of freedom system using combin14 element and define material dependent damping for the same element as a real constant in ANSYS

Thanks

RE: Combin14 element

Hi mhisham... you should try combin14 element with keyopt 2 for 1D behavior for example KEYOPT,1,2,1 where 1 is element type, 2 is keyopt 2 and 1 is for 1D behavior in x direction only. For more information please see in the Ansys help of combine14 element.
