NX8 graphics visual problem

NX8 graphics visual problem

NX8 graphics visual problem

(OP)
Hello, I am a ME major working on a project at home on my lab top. Solid bodies are not showing up correctly. The best way to explain is with a couple pictures. This is just a simple shape I extruded to illustrate the problem. Any insight on fixing the issue would be much appreciated.

Thank you
John

RE: NX8 graphics visual problem

Does your laptop use some sort of integrated graphics chip?
If so, that's most likely the source of your problems. Very few (if any) integrated graphics systems support the features needed by NX. You can try different drivers, they may minimize or solve the problem; but the only guaranteed fix is a system that is certified by Siemens to run NX.

RE: NX8 graphics visual problem

Are your models displayed like that all the time? Just asking because I occasionally encounter temporary anomalies like that and View-Operation-Regenerate Work cleans it up. I cannot remember when it happens to me; perhaps on boolean operations. Btw I am using certified hardware and driver although it's getting somewhat old.
