copy sets from assembly module to part module.

copy sets from assembly module to part module.

copy sets from assembly module to part module.

I made many partitions and sets in the assembly module, when i try to make submodel from global model which has all these sets and partitions, i found that all these partitions and sets which were generated in the assembly module could not be generated in the submodel. I notice that this problem disappear when all the sets and partitions are generated in the part module.

So, i need to find a way to copy or propagate all the sets and partitions generated in the Assembly module to the part module.

Can you please advice me.

Thanks

Actually they are many, but the model is complex and re-generating the model from the begining is time consuming, how can that in the input file.

Suppose the name of the set in the assembly module is set-1, how can i copy that set to the part module.
Thanks

You are welcome. I did not want to give away the answer for a good reason and I hope you understand why.

Now, in general, use a similar trick to learn *anything* in Abaqus. Create a *very* simple problem 1D/2D/3D with one or a few elements and learn whatever you need to learn. This is perhaps the best way to become a better modeler. If you can strengthen your theory, then you'll become even better. You won't have to run into multiple forums asking questions from unknown people - who may or may not give you the right/best advice.
