Does anyone know what nicro brazing is and how it compares to other soldering processes?

RE: Nicro Brazing

spoolguy,
For future ref, by definition 800F is the dividing line between soldering and brazing although Silver base alloy brazing is also commonly referred to as Silver Soldering.

Nicrobraz is a trade name.  I think it might be Wallcolmonoy's referenced by KDM8011.  I think it is a Nickel base braze alloy and usually done by furnace brazing.

RE: Nicro Brazing

Most brazes are silver and copper-based alloy compositions. Nicrobrazes are Ni-based. They are stronger and survive higher temperatures. Wal Colmonoy is the only company I know who makes these.
