Find model weight

Find model weight

Find model weight

(OP)
Been having an issue solving this for a while. I need to find the weight of my structure. I have included the density of all materials. The model is a 2D plane strain model. When I used .inp files for my studies I would load the nodes and element connectivity matrix in Matlab, find the area of each element and multiple by the density, sum it up and I would have the system weight. But now I am using Python scripts with my model and would like to skip the step of sending information to Matlab to find the weight. Any idea how to do this?

Thanks,

Brady

RE: Find model weight

You can start a modal STEP and get the total mass in the .DAT file

Worked, got it.
