Steel wire armored cable

(OP)
Hello all,
Anyone knows a cable manufacturer company has a "Steel Wire Armored, PVC insulated" cable for instrumentation purposes? All I found was aluminum armored.
Any help appreciated.
If anyone is out there working in such a manufacturer:

Ozi Genc
TRC Advanced Technologies, Inc.
Ph: 713-995-4772
Fx: 713-592-5663

or email me at ozi@trcat.com

Thanks anyways.

RE: Steel wire armored cable

Curious…
Why the need for “Steel Wire Armored” cable?

RE: Steel wire armored cable

Steel Wired Armoured Cable (SWA) is typically used in the European and South African Markets. The use of labour intesive installation of conduits is hereby eliminated and it significantly reduces installation costs with the same mechanical strenth as you would have with conduit.

Suppliers in South Africa is Aberdare Tel No is (From the US)011 27 11 609 4020.

RE: Steel wire armored cable

Ozi,

I would also like to know the same thing, mainly the really thin (under 3.5mm casing) stuff 22/2, 22/3. I know it has a supplier but alas, in the same boat as you. As a sub. we have been using "Flex" from a local electrical supplier and rolling our own, as needed, but the sheath is very bulky, and not very attractive, astheticly.

Also the proper "box connectors" for the ends would be nice too.....

RE: Steel wire armored cable

I think Belden may have some.
In OZ we have Olex cables who produce "Dekoron" see them at www.olex.com.au
Cheers
