settings for creating large assemblies drawings - Doubt about Update .

(OP)
Finally i found a comfortable settings for creating a drafting view for large assemblies. But this is only suitable for illustration views and not for any dimensioning.
The setting is
1.Disable "Load smart weight data" in customer defaults
2.Disable "Hidden Line Processing" in customer defaults

3.Now while creating base view -> (i)Choose extracted edges as "None" ; (ii)In base tab ,enable "faceted representation "; (iii)Now enable Hidden lines here in style.

Drawing view with faceted representation with Hidden line processing will be the result.

But my doubt is, whether i am able to update this view if there is any change in component position. I doubt this because i chose extracted edges as none.

Please clarify me.

I am using NX 7.5.

I observed that when i follow these settings , the processing speed is improved very very much.

Note: I used lightweight data and doesn't convert them in to "exact"

RE: settings for creating large assemblies drawings - Doubt about Update .

This will all be moot once you move to NX 8.5 since starting then you will be able to use the 'Smart Lightweight' models in Drafting as well as Assemblies with basically the same benefits. You will be able to toggle ON any type of Hidden-Line display (Invisible, Dashed, etc) as well as being able to create Section views, add Dimensions and Annotation, and have these views properly update when your models change.
