Secondary batteries with wider temperature range?
Secondary batteries with wider temperature range?
(OP)
I've been looking at small (something like 18650 size) lithium-ion batteries for a portable application. However, these batteries typically don't want to be charged above a temperature of 45C or discharged above 60C. Does anyone know of a source of other types of batteries that can safely tolerate somewhat higher temperatures (maybe charging around 55-60C and discharging at 70-75C)?
Thanks in advance,
Glenn

Saft MP & Small VL
"Operating temperature for standard cells: -20°C to +60°C for charge, -50°C to +60°C for discharge. Specific high temperature cells with operating temperature up to + 125°C"
It's not likely to be the optimum solution, but perhaps it'll help you to find what you're looking for. Good luck.
