Solution pump Error and cooling water Pipe size

Solution pump Error and cooling water Pipe size

Is there any relation between Solution Pump and cooling water pipe size?
I have installed pipe of 8" for flow of 2337 gpm at condenser water side, the pump which i have used has enough head to cop up the pressure drop, the chiller operated at full load for about 5 months but now when atmospheric temperature is at peak, the chiller is giving an alarm of solution pump error, is this alarm has anything to do with condensing water flow or pressure drop??? or this might be malfunctioning of electronic parts of the machine (the chiller is single effect double lift hot water absorption machine)

RE: Solution pump Error and cooling water Pipe size

There's not enough information here to make an educated guess.

Have you checked the capacity of the heat rejector?

Have you contacted the absorption machine manufacturer?

We have contacted the supplier,
I think he is juct putting the blam on my side by saying that you have used 8" pipe for condensiong water side which is causing pressure drop and thats why chiller is giving this sort of alram, capacity of chiller is 400TR and load on chiller is 80% that is about 320TR AHUs are installed on it

RE: Solution pump Error and cooling water Pipe size

That pipe is well undersized, but as long as the right flow is arriving at the chiller input at the right temperature, then there should be no basis for the supplier to pin it on the condenser water. There should be a service call, not a phone call. The maintenance contractor or vendor rep needs to investigate the machine and run a diagnostic to eliminate the minor malfunctions.
