Multimedia Filter Operating Weight

(OP)
I'm trying to determine the operating weight of a multimedia filter.
For the filter media itself, I know the true and bulk density of each media (3 types).

What I cannot figure out is what volume of water is within the pores of the media?

The difference in bulk versus true density is about half (true is twice as dense, is that correct?), but does that mean that approximately half of the media volume is made up of water?

Thanks!

RE: Multimedia Filter Operating Weight

The media is approximately 45% void space.
