suspect geometry

How can one find the errors on a model?
If examine geometry results are OK both on solid and on body faces, after heal geometry, CAM operations report geometry is still suspect.
I tried to extract all the faces and sew again, the result is the same.
I remember, there was a dotted bounding box around the error when redisplay part geometry in previous versions...
I am on NX 8.5.0.23

RE: suspect geometry

Hello kukelyk, the suspect geometry should come with imported geometry.
One method to try to avoid that kind of geometry is File -> Export -> Heal geometry, the new created part maintains the manufacturing operations you have and, sometimes removes the suspect geometry, try it.

Frank.

Thank for Your interest, but as I wrote above:
"after heal geometry, CAM operations report geometry is still suspect."

RE: suspect geometry

May you send me the part or some portion of the part that I can reproduce the problem.

Great.
How did You find the bad faces?
It is my everyday problem, because we working with such models.
Thanks.

RE: suspect geometry

To locate the bad faces I select the geometry by faces, I select some faces and regenerate the operation, then I add faces to the geometry and generate again, until I detect the bad faces.

The operation must generate as fast as you can, this way you can locate the bad faces relatively quickly.

Regards
Frank.
