Model updating

Model updating

(OP)
working on a very large model (about 1800 features) and it is taking soooooo long to update when making any changes. Any ideas on what can be done to reduce the amount of time I am just sitting and waiting for the model to update. Have thought about replacing all sketches with just curves !

RE: Model updating

I'm told using part modules would help with this, so you can break the part up into different working areas.

Never had a go with it though, but it might help...

RE: Model updating

Do you have any wave links parts loaded that is associated with the model you are working on? I have done this every time I make a change to my RM housing and I have my machine model loaded it changes this model also. I have delay geometry turned on for this reason.

take Advantage of Make Current feature. Edit with Rollback. Also try doing a search for modeling prefefences also go to preferences modeling and then the update tab. There is some options in there you can mess with that you may find with your search.

Yes it is wave linked into a machined level but when doing updates I close the trimmed part. Looks like there is no quick solution !
