P&ID Symbol for Instrument Manifold?

P&ID Symbol for Instrument Manifold?

(OP)
Hi guys. Have any of you ever seen a special P&ID symbol for a 5-valve instrument manifold? If so could you possibly share it? Thank you!

RE: P&ID Symbol for Instrument Manifold?

I've always made my own 5-valve manifold blocks with standard valve symbols. Never seen a special symbol.

Best to you,

Goober Dave

RE: P&ID Symbol for Instrument Manifold?

I can't recall seeing one on a P&ID, but probably on a loop diagram.

Why not condense a schematic like the vendors have?

RE: P&ID Symbol for Instrument Manifold?

Instrument manifolds are not required to be included in P&IDs. A transmitter symbol will suffice. The manifold setup is normally shown in the Instrument Hook-Up Diagram.

I agree with Guoluke
Don't clutter up the P&ID with silly details, that belongs on an installation detail drawing.
