hey i need to calculate an involute curve for a rocker acting on a valve stem, does anyone know how or know of any literature ?
cheers

i assume rocker pad design of the involute curve is the same as it is for gears but just want to be sure

RE: involute curve

Think of it as a rack-and-pinion with one tooth.

RE: involute curve

I question what an Involute has to do with this application. Wouldn't a standard Cam curve with a controlled motion be better or is the stroke so minimal that it doesn't matter?
