Can a stepper motor be rotated in the same direction after a 360 deg rotation

Can we rotate a stepper motor in the same direction continuously after it rotates 360 degrees in one direction. Does any damage happen to the motor if we do so?

RE: Can a stepper motor be rotated in the same direction after a 360 deg rotation

Rotary stepper motors can turn indefinitely in either direction.

RE: Can a stepper motor be rotated in the same direction after a 360 deg rotation

What is the reason for that question? Is there any position sensor added to the motor? If so, the sensor could have a limit - but never the stepper motor as such.

Half full - Half empty? I don't mind. It's what in it that counts.

The reason for that question is I will be using a stepper motor in a day or two, and I just wanted to know if I can rotate it continuously like a DC motor. Just making sure I am not damaging it.

Anyhow, thank you both of you...
