(OP)
dear all
This is David being new here.
Recently, I was requested a detailed of tooling cost for budget plan and usage of insert of repeating order should be listed. We collected usage of insert from latest 2 orders but also know the usage could vary as material differences etc.
How do you prepare cost of tools and calculation as well?

Thanks
David

RE: usage of insert

Underneath the insert you will find a 'seat' or 'liner'. Atop it you wll find a 'clamp' and a 'screw' or 'retainer'. None of that stuff lasts forever. You may have to look farther back in your records to estimate its lifetime(s). Same goes for toolhoders.

If you can't figure it out from your records, you can probably get help from your insert supplier.
