RE: PE license procedure

Here are a couple links that may help you in your quest.

NCEES is the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying it has links to the state licensing boards. ( In the USA the licensing of engineer is by the state.)

APEC Engineer - Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)

The United States Council for International Engineering Practice (USCIEP) exists to develop and promote procedures to enable U.S.-registered professional engineers to practice internationally. http://www.usciep.org

RE: PE license procedure

From the NCEES website

NON-USA ENGINEERS SEEKING LICENSURE

In the United States of America, a license is required before an engineer may practice before the public. The licensure of engineers is the responsibility of each individual state, rather than the federal government. There is a licensing board in each state. Engineers who wish to obtain their license to practice must apply to the licensing board in the state in which they plan to practice. In order to become licensed, the engineer must meet the requirements of that state licensing board with respect to education and experience and by taking and passing licensing examinations.

If you are interested in seeking licensure as an engineer in one of the states, you should contact the appropriate state licensing board. You may obtain contact information for licensing boards in the NCEES Members Section.

If you need information in the evaluation of your foreign engineering credentials, please contact the Engineering Credential Evaluation International (ECEI) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) at www.ecei.org.
