Fire Protection Piping Design

I'm looking into buying reference material for the design fire protection systems, specially Carbon Dioxide Extinguishing Systems, NFPA 12.

RE: Fire Protection Piping Design

That's nice.
Are you having difficulty finding NFPA?

Yeah it is very nice. Thanks! Do you know of any design textbooks that you would recommend?

RE: Fire Protection Piping Design

I'd start here:
http://www.nfpa.org/catalog/category.asp?category_...

I might also consider NBFU 12 and NFPA 2001.

I'm not aware of any 'Intro to ...' or 'Supplement to ...' or ' ... Made Easy' type stuff. ... and I'm pretty sure there are a lot of little gotchas to stumble into.

My experience with NFPA 12 is limited to calling a company that would quote a system, then later show up and install it in a couple of hours, all for relatively little money. Virtually all of the system components were specialized for CO2, stone simple, and not available at any hardware store I've ever been in.

I appriciate your input.

A good reference is "The SFPE Handbook of Fire Protection Engineering".
