Lateral Support of Roof Z Purlins

In an existing 50x120 ft metal building, Insul Basket is installed between the purlins that support standing seam metal roof. I believe that Insul Basket is not adequate for lateral bracing of the Purlins. What do you think?

RE: Lateral Support of Roof Z Purlins

What is "Insul Basket", and how is it supposed to be used?

RE: Lateral Support of Roof Z Purlins

I looked it up. No, that would not provide adequate purlin bracing. You need purlin bridging in accordance with the purlin manufacturer's requirements.

I agree with Hokie here.

You also have to resist the rollover of the purlins too. How is that being done?

Mike,
The type bridging I have in mind restrains purlins against both translation and rotation. The "Insul Basket" does neither.
