Requesting additional memory error in Mechanica

Requesting additional memory error in Mechanica

Requesting additional memory error in Mechanica

(OP)
Mechanica 2001 keeps shutting down during runs saying that there has been an error in requesting additional memory from the system.  This happens if I set the run dialog RAM allocation higher than 512 to 1000 MB.  I have 2 GB of RAM and 6 GB of Virtual Memory so I am unsure what the problem is.  Does anyone have a solution to this?  Thanks!

Found the answer myself - apparently the Mechanica solver can't be allocated to more than 1/4 to 1/2 of the physical memory
