Scrubber Foaming Problem

Scrubber Foaming Problem

Scrubber Foaming Problem

(OP)
We have a packed tower scrubber using caustic to remove HF fumes from air. We ocassionally get massive foaming in the tower and circulation tank. We have tried several commerical deofamer with no luck. Sometimes we can dilute the tank or pump it down for control. Would love to find a defoamer that works. Does someone have a suggestion? I'm thinking of Fumed silica or Silane fluids. Comments on their effectiveness or alternates would be helpful.
Thanks FBRwiz33
