air pressure inside bored piles

air pressure inside bored piles

air pressure inside bored piles

(OP)
hi,
I have seen that during placing of concreting using tremie in bored pile they are placing a air pipe or vent pipe in the hopper to allow the flow of air and i had also seen many times air coming out from the pipe,my doubt is how air struck inside the pile when it is full of bentonite solution ......

RE: air pressure inside bored piles

The tremie process puts air into the system at the interface with the bentonite slurry. It introduces air in "gulps" and has to "burp".

wat is the 'gulps'

RE: air pressure inside bored piles

Take a drink of water....swallow large amounts several times in a row and see the result...
