Hi everyone!
If you had a narrow and long ladder frame Would you get better torsional stiffness by using double X-bracing instead of a single one?

However your sketch rather distorts the likely proportions.
If you redraw it for a normally proportioned vehicle you'll see that an XX configuration is not far away from lots of lateral cross members, and that ain't gonna work.
If you are working on a 1955 era car type chassis, where the rear kicks up over the rear axle, it may be worth putting an X in on the rising part, but all the real work is done by the main X under the floor.
The devil is in the details if you are aiming at a substantial increase in torsional stiffness.
As ever if you supply more details you'll probably get a more useful response.
