Pump Selection - Circulation Pump
Pump Selection - Circulation Pump
(OP)
Hi,
I'm in the process of building a Water Channel for a Lab experiment, and was looking into pumps for recirculating the water with a variable flow control. Something that i could possibly have a display with or code into a program with. It also has to be submersible. Just looking for tips on which company to go after for best results/best prices. The water channel doesn't have dimensions or volume yet, so specific selection isnt neccessary at the moment, we just want ideas on prices/capabilites of our pumps needed.
Thanks.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Otherwise an axial flow (propellor type) is probaly best for what is likely to be a high flow / low head type of pump, but direct flow numbers are more difficult - you would need some sort of meter in the discharge pipe - utlrasonic clampon works weel but need some stright sections or a flow striaghtener.
My motto: Learn something new every day
Also: There's usually a good reason why everyone does it that way

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
