Parts list and balloons on different sheets

Parts list and balloons on different sheets

Parts list and balloons on different sheets

(OP)
Greetings all!

Is it possible to employ auto-ballooning or at least have them filled automatically with correct callouts when base view with baloons in one drawing sheet, and parts list is on the other? I refer to the drawings sheets within the same file.

Note that some drafting standards do not allow putting parts list next to the base view. This is pain in the a**.

RE: Parts list and balloons on different sheets

It's fully possible. The only trick is that you have to view the sheet where the balloons are to be created. Then RMB the partslist in the Partnavigator -Autoballoon.
Or, if you prefer manual balloons, add them and attach them to the edges of the components ( don't bother enter any numbers etc in the balloons.) When finished RMB the partslist in the Part navigator -"Update".
If the settings are correct the balloons will be "filled" with corresponding numbers.

Another, more cumbersome, method is to create ballons and table on the same sheet and when finished placing balloons move the table to a different sheet.
This can be done but ONLY by the method described next: ( if you try drag drop you will loose the balloons)
1 Make the partslist View dependent -> Model dependent.
2 Make the sheet where the table should be visible the active sheet.
3 Edit - View- View dependent edit - Select the Sheet in the part navigator, ( = The View) Model to View ( button) then select the partslist in the part navigator. OK.

Regards,
Tomas

So simple and I didn't get it myself! :)
Thank you very much!
