AAC Walls - Ties

AAC Walls - Ties

AAC Walls - Ties

(OP)
What are the recommended ways to laterally tie an AAC wall to a concrete column/wall? I can't seem to find much information online, except references for a strip tie, which appears to be a light gauge strip with small perforations in it? Does anyone have information for it?

RE: AAC Walls - Ties

slickdeals....this is an area that has not had a lot of engineering input in its development. Most of what is available has been development proprietarially by the AAC manufacturers. I don't know of any interfacing ties that have been tested.

There has been some information on fastener pullout for AAC..

Other than that, I would use cautious engineering judgment and design what you think you need.
