Lithium ion battery electrolyte

Lithium ion battery electrolyte

(OP)
Hi
I am currently working on manganese oxide based lithium ion battery. I am looking for the best electrolyte for this system. I went through the literature but there are plenty of lithium based electrolytes. Can anyone recommend the best composition for the electrolyte so that the best performance can be attained?

Thanks in advance

Ranjusha

RE: Lithium ion battery electrolyte

When I was doing lithium battery research some years ago, the electrolyte was thionyl chloride based. The key is to customize a blend from a variety of salt options to dissolve in the thionyl chloride, such as niobium pentachloride, lithium bromide, lithium sulfide, lithium oxide, et cetera.

You need to figure out the best blend for your particular battery materials. I wasn't working with manganese oxide, so the blend will be different.

Probably should be charging a fat consulting fee ;)
