Angle measurement in Catia

Angle measurement in Catia

Angle measurement in Catia

(OP)
Hi everybody
In catia, is it possible to measure angles and get negative values for this measurement? "measure between" tool always gives positive values for angles.

RE: Angle measurement in Catia

If I'm not mistaken, no ,I believe you will either get the first value or the reverse component value.
Why? do you need it? you could use knowledgeware get the wanted behavior

Thanks Azrael
I need to plot the values of a series of angles during simulating a mechanism in Catia and the direction is really important for me
what is knowledgewarw, I have not worked with it yet

RE: Angle measurement in Catia

Knowledgeware is naming for using functions (math), parameters, rules etc.... or maybe better, tools where you drive with math and logic

I would try to set up a parameter of angle type and control it with a rule, if the alfa exceeds 90deg the 180-alfa*-1

Thanks a lot Azrael
I have solved my problem using your comment
Knowledgeware is the solution
Now I can plot steak movement versus elevator rotation in my airplane model and the direction of angles are covered
GRAZIE
