NX open : selection intent rule

NX open : selection intent rule

NX open : selection intent rule

(OP)
Hi ,
Can any one explain to me what's is a selection intent rule ?
i'm having problems affecting faces simply to a face collector ,i must create a selection intent rule and affect it to the face collector .

thanks for helping.

RE: NX open : selection intent rule

Open or create a simple part and start the 'offset face' command. The selection filter will default to "Face" and the face rule dropdown will appear on the selection tool bar. The face selection rules include:
  • single face
  • tangent faces
  • adjacent faces
  • face and adjacent faces
  • feature faces
  • body faces
  • region faces
  • tangent region faces
These options allow you to easily select multiple faces. NXOpen allows for the same selection rules. You may want to record a few journals while selecting different face rules to see the code required.
