(OP)
I am trying to open a step file in Solidworks 2012 which was saved in Altium designer. When I open the step file all the other parts in the assembly open up properly except for the board. Only the edges of the board are displayed as a surface and the toolpath along with it.

I need to see the soldering locations as well as few other informations about the board. Am I the only one who is having this problem?

Has any one found an another way to open it in solidworks where it shows the board completely?

I go - > save as a copy in altium and then select step file option. I did try few different settings in solidworks does'nt seem to like anything..

Help please!!!

Thanks in advance.
