I am trying to understand the difference between an aerospace fitting AS4735 style like AS931 and a Parker ferruleloc style fitting also 27 deg flareless. It seems to be a closely guarded secret, anyone?

For those fittings the overall geometry is the same, but in general the aero fittings are mad to tighter tolerances.
And of course as Mike said the material all must be certified to AMS specs.
