While working on a drawing I got booted out of AutoCad 14 back to desktop.  Now everytime I try to load this one drawing I get booted back to desktop.  Only this one drawing, no others.  Also got this message, not every time - "access violation 0xc000005 address 0x77f6ce0c".  Anyone know how to fix this?

RE: access violation,

Check for lock files. I believe they have the same name as the drawing but have different extensions. The main lock file will be DwgNo.dwk, just delete it. The file may also be corrupt because of the crash.

RE: access violation,

Usually, an orphan drawing lock will cause the file to open as 'ead only' or prevent you from opening it at all. I suspect a corrupted drawing.

Use drawing recovery to try to purge the bad voodoo.

If that fails, open a new drawing and insert the suspect drawing as an exploded block.

If that fails, and you have access to Map, query in all the objects in draw mode into your session. I've seen this work when the above fails.

If that fails, try opening the problem file in Intellicad and save as a new name.

Failing all else, e-mail the problem file to me (zipped) and I'll give it a wack.

Thanks for the help. Loading the file into a new drawing as a block worked
