Windchill going off to La La Land

Windchill going off to La La Land

Windchill going off to La La Land

(OP)
We are using Pro/E WF5/creo 1 and PDM 9.1, about 6 CAD users. Every now and then (once every day), when a user initiates some PDM function (check in or update or part retrieval), PDM becomes non responsive. After a few minutes, the user will get the "server offline..." message. They click "NO" to the work offline question and immediately get the "Server is available...." message.

When I hear someone yell about PDM "locking up", I try to immediately log in to Windchill as an administrator and look at the server status page. I usually see abnormal numbers in the SERVLET ENGINE DATA section. Average response time is 10 or 11 (vs normal .1) and Request Concurrency average goes up to 1.5 (vs normal .04).

We are a small engineering staff and usually have to take care of our own CAD tools. However, neither I nor the other person who administers Windchill have a clue where to look.

Any ideas or pointers on what we should investigate?

RE: Windchill going off to La La Land

I have looked on PTC & found what your problem could be.

You need to have Windchill 9.1 M060 minimum to be able to use Creo 1.0, M070 would be better.
