Approvable Metric Fasteners

Approvable Metric Fasteners

Approvable Metric Fasteners

(OP)
I am doing mechanical design of surveying equipment to be mounted on aircraft.  We need to make our stuff certifiably crash safe.   The structural engineer who certifies our stuff has told me that the preferred fastener for smaller modules are the MS24694 structural flat head, and the MS27039 series pan head structural screws.  I am now being asked about metric.

Is there a metric equivalent of these fasteners?  What do they use in Europe for stuff like Airbuses?

My primary requirement is for metric fasteners that will be approved for aircraft appliances.  We tend to use smaller sizes like 8-32UNC and M4.

RE: Approvable Metric Fasteners

optech...

AIA/NAS "NAxxxx" specs are all metric. You can access these specs thru commercial services such as IHS... or can buy them individually.

Also... most of the aerospace fastener manufacturers have metric [SI] equivalents for their inches-std [US] parts. for instance, I KNOW that Hi-Loks have a whole series in  metric equivalents!!! Note: I haven't verified that each of the following have metrics... just guessing. Also, it NEVER hurts to contact the company... just in-case they don't list their metrics!
